FASHION WEEKS

In the world of fashion the are over 12 collections presented during the year, that take place in all the corners of the world.

Ambar Studio currently has 2 collections presented as follows:

1. The Eveningwear collection that we present at Paris Fashion Week. These presentations take place twice a year.

• In February we present the Autumn – Winter Collection

• In September the Spring – Summer Collection

2. The Bridal Collection that we present at Barcelona Bridal Week in April (is the collection for the next year)

I will present the most important of these, in the chronological order in which they are presented during the year:

MEN’S FASHION WEEK – FALL WINTER COLLECTION (presentation dedicated to men’s wear) taking place in January

1. LONDON FASHION WEEK

2. MILAN FASHION WEEK

3. PARIS FASHION WEEK

4. NEW YORK FASHION WEEK (presented in February)

PARIS COUTURE FASHION WEEK presented at the end of January

FALL WINTER COLLECTION presented in February as follows:

1. COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK (recently added to the international calendar and is dedicated to Nordic designers who are often minimalist collections with eco-friendly accents)

2. NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

3. LONDON FASHION WEEK

4. MILAN FASHION WEEK

5. PARIS FASHION WEEK (which is the longest fashion week – about 10 days)

6. SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK – presented in March (week recently added to the official calendar)

7. SEOUL FASHION WEEK – presented in March (week recently added to the official calendar)

The Fall Winter 2020 Ambar Studio Collection was presented at Paris Fashion Week

The official calendar is designed so that fashion shows do not overlap.

BRIDAL FASHION WEEK (presentations dedicated to wedding dresses) taking place in April

1. NEW YORK BRIDAL FASHION WEEK which is a biannual edition (in April the autumn-winter collection is presented, and in October the spring-summer collection)

2. BARCELONA BRIDAL FASHION WEEK which is an annual event presenting the collections for next year

3. LONDON BRIDAL FASHION WEEK annual event taking place at the end of March

The Bridal 2020 Ambar Studio Collection was presented at Barcelona Bridal Week

MEN’S FASHION WEEK – SPRING SUMMER COLLECTION (presentations dedicated to men’s collections) taking place in June

1. NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

2. LONDON FASHION WEEK

3. MILAN FASHION WEEK

4. PARIS FASHION WEEK

RESORT / CRUISE COLLECTION presented in May. Usually each brand chooses where to present the collection, the vast majority opting for fairytale places with a strong historical load, promoting local culture, and thus, the historical heritage of fashion houses.

Example:

Dior presented the Cruise 2019 collection at Chantilly Castle in France, located in the suburbs of Paris, which is a symbol of French prestige.

Dolce & Gabbana has always presented the Alta Moda (Couture Collection) collections in Italy, promoting the country’s impressive history. The Alta Moda collection from 2019 was presented in July in Sicily on the grounds of the Concorde Temple in Agrigento.

PARIS COUTURE FASHION WEEK presentation taking place in June

MIAMI SWIMWEAR FASHION WEEK annual presentation that takes place in July in Miami and presents the swimsuit collection for next year.

PRE – SPRING COLLECTION – this is a pre-collection of the spring-summer season, launched 1-2 months before the launch of the main collection.

SPRING SUMMER COLLECTION

1. COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK – presented in August

2. NEW YORK FASHION WEEK – presented in September

3. LONDON FASHION WEEK – presented in September

4. MILANO FASHION WEEK – presented in September

5. PARIS FASHION WEEK – presented in September

6. SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK – presented in October (week recently added to the official calendar)

7. SEOUL FASHION WEEK – presented in October (week recently added to the official calendar)

NEW YORK BRIDAL FASHION WEEK (presentation dedicated to wedding dresses) presented in October – for the spring-summer collection of the following year.

PRE – FALL COLLECTION – this is a pre-collection of the autumn-winter season (to be presented in February next year), launched 1-2 months before the launch of the main collection (December – January). This is a capsule collection, comprising fewer pieces than the main collection.
